WELCOME TO Charity locals helping locals for SASSA SENIORS . - "Reaching out with Love"
We have decided to dedicate this group to helping the Seniors THAT ONLY GETS A SASSA GRANT. We as a community can make at least 1 person smile a day , through caring – “Reaching out with Love”.
In this group we accept ALL unwanted and donated items. All items that are not needed as such will be raffled, swopped or sold at the monthly yard sale. This allows us to buy the necessities for their weekly and monthly hampers.
We are currently packing 31 hampers once a week towards Seniors . Our Seniors hampers consist of just the basics; sugar, tea, porridge, cup o soup, 2 min noodles, pasta, rice, mixed veg, tin pilchards, sweet corn, biscuits, powdered milk, jelly, canned fruit, peanut butter or jam, tomato paste, baked beans, knorr sauces, ultramel custard, fresh milk, and whatever fresh food we have on hand from donations.
Toiletries are: toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, shampoo, razor blades etc.
We also prepare a hot home cooked meal to serve 64 Seniors every Tuesday with sponsored ingredients, all help will be much appreciated.
PENNIES FROM HEAVEN
Our members are welcome to fill up our tins with small change towards our drive to buy meat, butter, eggs, fresh fruits etc, towards our Seniors needs.
To all new members, our swaps are for Checkers stamps and can be bought at the money market counter at any Shoprite / Checkers.

All our admins volunteer their time and frequently donate their own resources. None receive or expect any form of compensation or re-reimbursement.
This is a charity group and no advertisement allowed – with the exception of the approved admins list where the business in question donates a percentage of their profits to locals helping locals to be put towards our hampers and food drives.
